Resumption and escalation of psychological torture against Ashraf residents via 300 loudspeakers; more agents dispatched to Ashraf by Iran regime

Camp Ashraf military occupation- No. 169

NCRI - Since yesterday afternoon (December 4), upon the orders of Iraqi Prime Ministry, the agents of the mullahs’ regime, who have been stationed at different sides of Camp Ashraf since 22 months ago, resumed psychological torture of Ashraf residents by 300 loudspeakers, which had been cut off for few days, now with more earsplitting noises.

A few days ago, the Government of Iraq had turned off the loudspeakers at the request of the UN; however yesterday, at the order and pressures of the mullahs’ regime, the loudspeakers started blaring noises again while being equipped with amplifiers. During past few days, the mullah’s Intelligence Ministry (MOIS) has dispatched dozens of its agents to Ashraf to intensify its psychological torture against the residents.

In its statement No. 167 of November 29, the Iranian Resistance announced that the MOIS agents were renovating the signs, placards and banners and also amplifiers for the loudspeakers to have them ready to be used again.

Turning off the loudspeakers temporarily at the request of UN, and turning them on again at the order of Iraqi Prime Ministry leaves no doubt that the Government of Iraq and its Prime Minister is fully responsible for this mass psychological torture which is an example of crime against humanity and war crime. Therefore, the Iranian Resistance asks the United States, the United Nations, and the EU to live up to their international commitments and duties and not stay silent and compel the Government of Iraq to stop this psychological torture and to round up the agents of MOIS agents around Ashraf.
